Beyonce turned heads and broke records on Twitter when she announced that she was expecting a baby with her husband, Jay-Z, at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. After a generous introduction from Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, the singer exclaimed, "Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me!" She then performed "Love On Top." After the performance, Beyonce unbuttoned her blazer and rubbed her baby belly, which resulted in massive cheers and congrats from the audience.
This is only part of what seems to be a bit of a baby boom within the music and entertainment industry. Brenda Song, the loved Disney star, recently announced that she is expecting a baby with boyfriend Trace Cyrus, the singer and brother of pop star Miley Cyrus. As reported by MTV News, the 23-year-old actress has been dating Trace for over a year, and the two are going strong. This will be the first child for both.
Another former Disney darling that's also expecting? Pop singing superstar Hilary Duff! The singer of hits such as "So Yesterday" and "Why Not" announced her pregnancy on her official website, HilaryDuff.com. In the blog entry that also celebrated her one-year wedding anniversary with her husband, Mike. Comrie. Hilary stated, "I can't believe it has already been a year. Time really flies when you're having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that...baby makes three! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives."
Other stars that recently announced that they were expecting include Jennifer Garner, who's expecting baby number three with husband Ben Affleck. January Jones and Lindsey Sloane recently announced their pregnancies. Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, are expecting their second daughter.
