Selena Gomez Breaks Her Silence After Rehab News: 'I've Done Everything I Could Do'

Selena Gomez is moving forward with a smile.

After news broke last week that she recently did a stint in rehab, the 21-year-old posted to Instagram Monday to thank her fans for their support.

Dressed in a denim shirt, Gomez, who checked into Arizona rehab facility Dawn at The Meadows last month, is pictured standing at the bow of a boat. With sunglasses hanging from her shirt and a drink in hand, she is looking at the camera and giving a big smile.

"I've done everything I could to the best of my ability," the "Come & Get It" singer wrote along with the photo. "Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me."

A day earlier, Gomez posted a second photo from the boat trip, showing herself leaning against her friend Charity Lynne Baroni, who recently celebrated her birthday. "Just stoked you were born dude," Gomez wrote.

On Wednesday, news broke that the "Spring Breakers" star had spent time in the treatment facility. Her rep told Yahoo the decision was "voluntarily" and noted that it was "not for substance abuse."

According to the facility's website, they specialize in patients ages 18-26 who are struggling with emotional trauma, addiction, or dual diagnosis concerns.

Gomez's treatment took place shortly after she canceled the Australian leg of her Stars Dance tour. It was also around the time she was seen with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber again.

Gomez's long-time pal Demi Lovato, who also sought treatment in rehab (for emotional issues and drug abuse), has supported her pal through her ordeal.

"Selena is ... I've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends," Lovato told E! News. "That's all of her business, and I just want to let her do her thing. And, yeah, she's amazing. I love her."

She also posted this tweet of encouragement:

Sounds like Gomez is feeling the love — from her friends and fans.
