It's time to hit the books! School is back in session, and we're taking a look at some of Hollywood's scholars who went back to college after achieving fame in Tinsel Town.
Oscar nominee James Franco can't seem to get enough when it comes to his education. He received an English degree from UCLA in 2008 and went on to receive a master's degree from Columbia University's MFA writing program. He's currently studying for a doctorate in English from Yale. And on top of all this, he also taught a film production class at USC in the spring of 2013.
"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson traded the halls of Hogwarts for Brown University in 2009, and although she left the Ivy League school in 2011 to return to acting, the 23-year-old reportedly plans to go back to Brown this coming fall semester.
Former child star Dakota Fanning is pulling double duty, studying at New York University and starring in the upcoming drama, "Night Moves."
But these brainiacs aren't the only stars who put acting on hold to whip out their No. 2 pencils. Check out the vid to see which Oscar winner temporarily traded fame for a Harvard education.
