Some people name their cars. Lady Gaga names her wheels of a completely different sort.
The pop icon announced last week that she was scrapping the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour (25 shows!) due to a painful hip injury that’s left her in need of major surgery. Since then, she’s visited a five-year-old fan in the hospital… and named her wheelchair.
We’re glad to see that she’s in better spirits than she was a week ago when she first came forward about her injury.
“I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad,” she wrote when she announced the first four shows she needed to cancel. “It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.”
We anticipate that even Emma won’t be able to keep this Mamma Monster down for long. She may not be able to perform for a while, but that doesn’t mean she can’t make public appearances in other ways.
Demi Lovato suggested to MTV News that Gaga sit at the judges’ table on the upcoming season of “The X Factor.” Frankly, we’d like to see her perform a number with wheelchair-bound Artie (Kevin McHale) on “Glee.” Now, that would be fierce.
