Awards season, or rather awards campaigning, is officially in full swing.
The new Miss Golden Globe, Sosie Bacon, had a quite the bash in West Hollywood on Thursday, with stars from Mark Wahlberg and Colin Farrell to Abigail Breslin and Lizzy Caplan there to celebrate her new title.
It was announced that evening that Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick's 21-year-old daughter would be taking on the coveted role — following in the footsteps of Rumer Willis, Francesca Eastwood, Lorraine Nicholson, and Lily Costner (to name a few) — so the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle threw a soiree to celebrate the 2014 Golden Globe Awards at Fig & Olive.

Kevin and Kyra, both Golden Globe winners, of course gave their actress daughter a little advice.
"They just want me to be myself, stay true to myself, and work hard — that is their biggest thing," Sosie explained. "Also not to take it too seriously. Just have fun and enjoy it!"
Inside the bash, the up and coming star was surrounded by some of Hollywood's elite. Mark Wahlberg made a low-key entrance where he was greeted by dozens of guests. However, the one star he seemed particularly excited to meet was Abigail Breslin.
Fresh from the Weinstein Co.'s holiday soiree a few blocks away, the "August: Osage County" actress was ushered inside and introduced to Wahlberg.
"I'm a huge fan of yours," Mark told Abigail as he shook her hand (the admiration was certainly reciprocated).
Breslin, 17, talked with Mark for a while, exchanging industry stories and talking about current and past projects. "Entourage" actor Jeremy Piven was also in attendance, so Mark went up to talk to his pal as well.
One table over sat Colin Farrell, holding court with a few HFPA members. The "Saving Mr. Banks" actor was in a great mood, chatting with whomever came his way.
Across the restaurant, James Marsden seemed captivated by the lovely Lizzy Caplan. The "Masters of Sex" actress looked adorable in a black and white dress with a gold belt and sat inside the restaurant with her friend for a bit.
While movie stars were certainly in abundance, there was no shortage of famous faces from the small screen.
"Scandal" studs Scott Foley, Jeff Perry, and Dan Bucatinsky spent much of the evening together, while the lovely Darby Stanchfield seemed happy to catch up with co-star Columbus Short. All of the actors chatted with Gladiators who approached them. It's rare to see stars of a hit show actually get along off-screen, but it seems the "Scandal" crew is definitely one of them!
Other notable guests in attendance: Pharrell Williams, Mindy Kaling, Anna Gunn, Emile Hirsch, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Emily Wickersham, and Malin Akerman.
The 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted again by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air on Jan. 12.
