January Jones may have spoken about her "tomboy" days in the past, but given her status chic red carpet style and feminine role as Betty Drapper on "Mad Men," that's always been pretty difficult to imagine. Well, until now.
The 36-year-old posted a throwback pic to Instagram on Thursday featuring her and her two sisters, Jacey and Jina, but good luck trying to figure out which one she is!
"I'm the tomboy crouching in the middle, obviously," she cheekily wrote in the comments. Given the almost buzzed haircut, goofy smile, and oversized t-shirt (especially next to her jumper-clad sisters), there's nothing "obvious" about it.
"I was such a tomboy. I mean, I had a shaved head, a gap between my teeth, I was just a little terror," she told gurl.com in 2011 of her childhood. Clearly she wasn't kidding.
And while promoting her 2013 Western flick, “Sweetwater,” the South Dakota native opened up about how much fun she had filming telling the Orange County Register, "It was like being 7 again and rolling around in the mud. I was a tomboy back then, and I haven't changed or progressed very much since then."
Not that there's anything wrong with that. As January points out in her caption, "The Jones sisters are here to remind all homely little girls to dream big.. anything is possible with the confidence to ignore judgement, encouragement from a friend, love for yourself and the patience to grow out a bad haircut. #tbt #mybangsareNOTsupposedtobefeathered."
Check out the video to see January's transformation from a tomboy to a bonafide star and be sure to tune into "The Insider" on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
