Not only does Kaley Cuoco Sweeting have a new husband, Ryan Sweeting, but the happy couple also purchased a new home that comes with one unexpected amenity. The "Big Bang Theory" star told David Letterman on Monday night that she inherited a pet peacock, Petey, with the abode.
"This is so crazy, it comes with a peacock," the actress revealed. "The previous owner said, 'You know, it's very important that you know that there's a peacock that lives at this residence.' And I'm like, 'OK,'" she continued. "We're at the walk-through a few weeks ago and they're like, 'Don't forget you have to let Petey in and out.'"
Petey joins their existing large family. They have quite the slew of animals, with three dogs, one horse, and one cat. But the Sweetings aren't the only celebrities whose home came with an unexpected pet.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux purchased a Bel-Air mansion in 2012 that came complete with 12 chickens. Justin revealed in the September 2013 issue of GQ magazine, "We inherited the chickens from the previous owners." They both have spoken openly about the newest additions to their family, and during an appearance on "Conan" in August 2013, the actress brought some eggs from home as a gift for the host.
"They pop them out like crazy, so we just keep giving them away," the actress told Conan. "I figured, I keep talking about it, so I just figured I'd give them to you."
Another one of Tinsel Town's hottest actresses also has a rather peculiar pet. Back in December 2010, Reese Witherspoon revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she has two pet donkeys named Honkey and Tonkey.
Hollywood seems to be turning into a zoo with all these wacky celebrity pets! Kristen Stewart has a wolf hybrid, Tori Spelling owns a pet chicken named Coco Chanel, and some of the strangest pets of them all belong to Paris Hilton, who owns ferrets.
