Aside from awards shows, it's hard to get Hollywood's A-List celebs to willingly come out to party anymore, but The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala presented by Salvatore Ferragamo on Thursday night did just that.
The starry night in Beverly Hills kicked off with cocktails around 7 p.m.
A pregnant Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale were among the first and most fashionable couples to arrive. Concealing her growing belly in a fringe-covered Ferragamo gown, Gwen, 44, walked hand in hand with her rocker beau, greeting partygoers with a smile as they made their way to the bar (the No Doubt singer obviously abstained from drinking). Gwen soon ran into Nicole Richie, who was with a group of girlfriends, and spent the rest of the cocktail hour chatting with the House of Harlow designer.
Across the way, a solo Joe Jonas held court, looking dapper minus brothers Nick and Kevin. The 24-year-old singer, who's at the center of several reports of personal and Jonas Brothers band drama, passed on the champagne and appetizers that were being served, instead texting on his phone while waiting for someone to arrive.
Following cocktails, guests made their way into the Bram Goldsmith Theatre.
Jodie Foster and girlfriend Alexandra Hedison were together and their affection for one another was apparent. Although Jodie and Alexandra's romance is new, they certainly seemed very much enamored with each other.

"Thank you so much, but I love yours," Charlize, 38, said with a smile.
As guests took their seats, Jason Bateman ran in with wife Amanda Anka. The "Arrested Development" star was ever the gentleman, escorting his love down the stairs with his arm.
John Lithgow, Diane Lane, and Kevin Spacey were just a few stars that participated in the gala performance, highlighting the cultural significance that the Beverly Hills Post Office has in Hollywood history, and celebrating a new home for artists around the world.
After the performance, everyone made their way into a constructed tent for dinner.
As Gwen and Gavin were getting situated at their table, a Fergie-less Josh Duhamel walked in. The trio talked for a bit and Gwen and Gavin congratulated the "Safe Haven" actor on the new addition to his family. Josh couldn't help but gush over his adorable son, Axl Jack (can you blame him?), to the power couple.
"There are some sleepless nights, but it's all worth it," Josh told us with a laugh when we caught up with him.
Gwen and Gavin (we might as well just name them Most Valuable Partiers of the night … everyone was dying to say hello) held court at table 42, which was clearly one of the most coveted tables to sit at.

Demi Moore (who made her first red carpet appearance on Thursday in six months), Courteney Cox, and Jennifer Meyer (Tobey Maguire's wife) quickly joined them. Gwen and Demi had plenty of time for girl catch up, while Courteney joined in as well. Nicole Richie eventually got in on the girl talk as well.

Across the aisle, Charlize captured the attention of Kevin Spacey. The Oscar-winning actress and "House of Cards" actor were cracking up, talking, and showing each other some photos on their phones.

Between dinner and dessert, a special fashion runway presentation of the Spring Summer 2014 collection by Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti, presented by Salvatore Ferragamo, took place. Guests also enjoyed a performance by Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, one of the most famous opera singers of our time, to celebrate Ferragamo’s Italian culture.
Alessandra Ambrosio and Karolina Kurkova opened and closed the makeshift catwalk looking flawless (of course!). Despite a report on Thursday that Alessandra has separated from her fiancé, a source close to the Victoria's Secret model tells us that's "not true at all."
Freida Pinto and Dev Patel also watched on, looking as loved up as ever.
Other celebs at the star-studded soiree included Amy Adams, Tim Robbins, Tony Goldwyn, Evangeline Lilly, Chord Overstreet, Dita von Teese, and Anne Vyalitsyna.
