Christmas has come early for Kelly Clarkson!
The Grammy winner and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, are expecting their first child together. Clarkson, 31, shared the happy news on Twitter on Tuesday:
Kelly played coy about pregnancy rumors on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" last week.
"[We want a baby] like now! Practice makes perfect!" the season one "American Idol" winner told Leno, adding that she and her husband have been "trying, trying, trying … like rabbits!”
"Are you pregnant now?" the late-night host asked point blank. " Remember — you're under oath!"
"We are not announcing anything right now," Clarkson replied with a smile.
"We have two kids," the singer added, referring to her husband's children, Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6, from a previous relationship. "And they're so great. And I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."
Kelly wed Brandon, a Nashville-based talent manager, on Oct. 20 in an intimate ceremony at Blackberry Farms in Walland, Tennessee. The couple got engaged in December 2012.
While this will be Kelly's first biological child, she has expressed how much she enjoys being a stepmom.
"[Brandon's children are] awesome and I actually really dig the mom thing," Clarkson shared in August. "I am quick to go, 'I told you not to touch that!' … I am totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom."
Congrats to the expectant parents!
