Las Vegas, are you ready for Britney Spears? (Fox)
On Friday, Caesars Entertainment confirmed to omg! that they and the pop star are “actively engaged in discussions” to bring Spears to Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino to headline her very own residency. “Caesars Entertainment is continuously working to redefine the Las Vegas entertainment landscape,” the statement continued. “As a pioneer of the modern Las Vegas headlining residency model, Caesars Entertainment regularly engages in conversations with today’s top artists to perform at any number of our Las Vegas resorts.”
Speculation has been going back and forth ever since the 31-year-old announced last month that she was exiting “The X Factor” after just one season as a judge.
It has been reported that Spears would rake in an astounding $200 million for two years … double what Vegas headliner Celine Dion earned for a three-year deal in 2011.

Although Spears’ mental state has been questioned in recent weeks – one insider told omg! that “there is a lot happening … so everyone is worried” – she seems eager to make her mark on the Strip. On February 3, she tweeted from her puppy Hannah’s Twitter account, “Mommy, are dogs allowed to gamble in vegas? Gonna cash all my bones in for chips.”
Do you think headlining in Las Vegas is a good idea for Britney?
